About Monarch Ergo Pvt. Ltd -Monarch Ergo came into existence due to the India's Economic Liberalization Era of the 1990s. About GAIL (India) -GAIL (India) Ltd was incorporated in August 1984 as a Central Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoP&NG). The company was initially given the responsibility of construction, operation & maintenance of the Hazira - Vijaypur - Jagdishpur (HVJ) pipeline Project. It was one of the largest cross-country natural gas pipeline projects in the world. Originally this 1800 Km long pipeline was built at a cost of Rs 1700 Crores and it laid the foundation for development of the market for natural Gas in India.

It is classified as a Non-govt company and is registered at the Registrar of Companies, Shillong. It is involved in Mining and agglomeration of lignite [Includes underground or open-cut mining of lignite (brown coal); cleaning, sizing, pulverizing and other operations to improve the quality; and manufacture of briquettes or other solid fuels consisting chiefly of lignite.
